Cookies, a New Year & Prosecco

chocolate chip cookies and lunetta proseccoHad a low key celebration with the nephews to usher in 2015. Chocolate chip cookies for all, Lunetta Prosecco for me.

I wasn’t a fan of this particular #Prosecco. It was pretty flavorless to me, almost like seltzer water. A lot of fizz, very little flavor. But, like the Green Fin Pinot Noir, it was a cheap grab from my local grocery store. Maybe I shouldn’t have expected much.

Drop the name of your favorite Prosecco in the comments below. I’d like to try some good ones.

Cookies & Pinot Noir

IMG_0975I asked for cookies, he bought back half of 7-Eleven’s cookie aisle. That’s what friends are for.

This 2013 Green Fin Pinot Noir is just okay on its own, and not okay with these cookies (vanilla Oreo’s, lemon creme, or SnackWell’s sandwich cookies). It’s made with organic grapes, picked up from Trader Joe’s and is pretty mild, slighty fruity.

But I’m not one to waste wine…or cookies.

This 2013 Green Fin Pinot Noir is decentĀ on its own, but not with these cookies. But, I’m not one to waste #wine…or cookies.

This wasn’t the smoothest or most drinkable Pinot Noir I’ve had, but it was a $5 grab from Trader Joe’s.

I’m not on a mini-mission, to find a wine that goes with your common, grocery store cookie. Drop your suggestions in the comment section below.
