Thankful for Thanksgiving eats and Paradise Springs Winery’s 2012 Chardonnay. It’s only right that I sip on this smooth, creamy wine as I make my way through turkey, ham, mac & cheese, greens, rolls…you get it.
PSW is one of my favorite Virginia wineries, but I’d never really considered their Chardonnay before – I’m usually occupied with their Sommet Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. I’m glad my mom grabbed a bottle the last time we visited. She’s not a wine drinker at all, but really liked the Chardonnay.
JQ strikes again. Bon Chon chicken wings and fried rice with Foppiano Vineyards ’ 2011 Petite Sirah.
He likes wine on the drier side, I don’t. We both enjoyed this, which was my first petite sirah.
Sunday dinner. Drunken noodles from T.H.A.I in Shirlington with Cocobon, my fave. Oh, and JQ’s Hulk-ish wine glasses.
This was such a bad idea. Dominos pepperoni pizza with Frey Natural Red organic wine. The wine didn’t taste like much and was too dry for me.
I really wanted to find an organic wine, but will keep looking.

Am I the only one who occasionally has wine and cheese for dinner?
Rock View Reserve 2012 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with iStara P’tit Basque, an awesome sheep’s milk cheese, my favorite.
